Configuring emergency policy creates essential management safeguards in the event of loss of communications with agent-managed security groups. Emergency Policy exists for situations in which the Dome9 agent loses communication with the Dome9 platform for a specified amount of time.
When a timeout elapses, configured emergency policy is applied. (If no emergency policy is applied, losing contact with any security group may result in breaches.) The emergency policy applies to all agent-managed servers.
Note: Emergency policy is not relevant for agentless, AWS cloud security groups.
Emergency policy opens all "On-Demand" ports to be globally accessible, whether a specific port's standard configuration policy is on-Demand or All.
